Just wish some specific fish wernt a nightmare waiting for them to appear and only being catchable usung say lures which i hate 90% of the time due to lift and drop often being detected as twitching or a technique not being detected at all (wether i use mouse or controller), IF they get the events like Halloween and Christmas, then it's worth it cause you can travel around to different locations and buy the equipment without having to really worry about how much it costs since earnings per fish are much better in The Fisherman.I agree the game does run well havent had a crash in ages but its supposed to be the premium version of fishing planet which means if it gets a new map we should too and not just another ''exclusive'' map we have to pay for that will probably end up free on fishing planet free version before long anyway, i have purchased the new map but not visited it yet waiting to level up a bit first. The only real benefit to The Fisherman is the events honestly. I ended up resetting my profile on The Fisherman when Blue Crab Island was released and ended up hitting level 50 in about 9 days.

You'll level up at a snail's pace but at least the game is still growing and adding more to it. If you just want to relax and kill an hour or two fishing for fun, then just do Fishing Planet. If you want to level up fast and knock out the biggest uniques in the game, then The Fisherman is probably the way to go. Once you level up to 50, there is no goals left unless you wanna go back and grind the missions. There is no Bolivia or Peru expansion and no word if it will even come to The Fisherman. You must buy the Blue Crab Island expansion to fish there. Which means you can go from level 0 to 50 in about a week if you really give it a go and knock out the missions which give xp.īUT the major drawback is that with those benefits, once you hit level 50, there's nothing left to aim for. Like mentioned before, travel costs are much cheaper and you earn more money and xp per fish.

There are benefits to The Fisherman over the free to play version Fishing Planet.
